I have been putting dates in the diary to get down to the BPAS clinic in Bournemouth for about 2/3 weeks now to meet and introduce myself with the pro-life advocates, but the rain has stood in my way. Not today though! The sun was shining, and I was able to go.
I have been informed through my contacts that there are particular days when the protesting is at its height, for example Wednesday evenings as this is a late-night opening for the clinic and Thursday daytime as this is the day that the clinic waste is collected; protesters are known to pray at this time.
So, it’s Wednesday and I was there, outside of the clinic really hoping to see the people that regularly come stand out here. I’ve heard so much about them and I’m really wanting to have a conversation of my own with them. I had no luck though, and my luck didn’t get much better on Thursday either, so I’m still yet to talk with any anti-abortion advocates. I am not deterred though; I will continue visiting the clinic for the next couple of weeks.
